THE SMART BEE MONITOR SYSTEM TURNS APICULTURE INTO A MODERN TRADE.

While many questions linger especially concerning Affordability & accessibility of the Smart Bee Monitor System, the General View remains Positive.

Speaking at the just concluded National Honey Week (7^th – 10^th September) at the Kingdom Kampala, the Executive Director, The Uganda National Apiculture Development Organisation (TUNADO), commended the fantastic Innovation of the Researchers from Makerere University - AdEMNEA Project. He says Honey has for long been viewed as a Luxury, afforded by the Wealthy yet locally Processed by mere Farmers hence the coming of Artificial Intelligence comes at the right Time when Apiculture is about to break even as an Industry in Uganda.

The Project aims to enable Bee Farmers ably supervise the activities in their Hives from the Comfort of their Homes. The Smart Bee Monitor has provisions for both Visual & Audio Real-time Reporting form the Daily Bee Activities inside & outside the Hive as well as documenting/storing the prevailing Weather Patterns (Temperatures and humidity) as well as the weight of the hive.

The Farmer will also be informed of the swarming activities in the hives while keeping tabs with the increasing amounts of Honey.
