TUNADO excited about AdEMNEA products



TUNADO supported our poposal writing by giving us a support letter and we hope they will support the monitoring of the species because it is in their core interest. They will also maintain the bee monitoring units during and after the project.

TUNADO protects bees for livelihood and facilitates market linkages along the value chain for income generation through market pool approach

This project is a game changer in the sense that if we are able to monitor from our offi ces and know whether to spray or not, we can act accordingly after relocating the bees to another place. Agrochemicals kill the bees and cause colony disorder.

There is a platform called Apiculture stakeholders’ platform, with good national and regional contacts that can be utilised for dissemination of findings and so on.

Habitat loss is an increasing problem as people cut down trees to do extensive agriculture which goes with a lot of chemical spray. The tool will help inform us so we can find ways of ensuring the farmers’ harmonious existence with the bees.
